Dr Gideon Sandler is a distinguished Surgical Oncologist, Endocrine Surgeon, and General Surgeon at Westmead Hospital, the Children's Hospital at Westmead, and Westmead Private Hospital. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and the founder of Sydney Surgical Oncology, he brings a wealth of expertise to cancer care in Australia.
Uniquely positioned as Australia's only Surgical Oncologist fully engaged in both adult and paediatric cancer treatment, Dr Sandler has particular expertise in paediatric thyroid surgery. He is the only high-volume thyroid surgeon in Australia with fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Surgery in both General and Paediatric Surgery.
